Books
We are always happy receive donated books to keep our readers busy. At the moment we are looking for:
Books in Farsi, Arabic, Kurmanji, Sorani, Urdu, Bangla, Turkish, French, and Pashto
Educational resources for language-learning (for example, learning English through Kurmanji, or German through Farsi)
- Children’s books, especially bilingual and Farsi books
Easy reader books for English, Greek and German

Money
Running the ECHO library costs roughly €25,000 per year. We are a small, independent project that relies largely on crowdfunding to survive. Our costs include fuel, van maintenance, printing educational materials and coordinator stipends.

Time
ECHO needs volunteers with experience working with books, education or vulnerable displaced people.
Language skills in Farsi/Dari, Arabic, Kurmanji, Sorani, Urdu and Greek are always useful!
If you would like to volunteer with us in Greece, we ask for a minimum two-month commitment.
In addition, if you have expertise in another area (website maintenance, fundraising etc) and you would like to help, we would love to hear from you!
